Responsible for: Assisting the Business Manager in identifying the need for maintenance items to ensure that the entire facility remains in top condition.
Job definition: Coordinates through the Business Manager and skilled trade personnel, activities concerned with the operation, repair, maintenance, and construction of facilities, equipment, buildings and grounds to minimize interruption and improve efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Main duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Follow up with action items as assigned by the Business Manager. Organize quarterly walk-through of building to evaluate current and potential issues. Recommend repairs to the Business Manager. Track daily maintenance items.
- Managing Volunteers – Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to organize and lead a team to complete various tasks as assigned by the Business Manager.
- Building and ground maintenance – Assist in the maintenance and repair to maintain building cleanliness and appearance, work with the Business Manager to obtain bids for repairs. Help track maintenance schedule of annual, bi-annual, quarterly & monthly maintenance projects, insure that contract work is completed on time and to specifications. Participate in planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives. Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise– may require coming in outside of normal hours.
Qualifications: Experience that provides knowledge of the practices and procedures related to property management, maintenance, materials requirements, and building operation and repair. Knowledge of a variety of supplies, machinery, and equipment. Must have good communication skills and be able to establish effective working relationships with Business Manager, HHS&C staff, volunteers, and contractors.
