Spay and Neuter Resources
Heartland is committed to helping humanely control the population of homeless animals through spay and neuter efforts. We are continually retooling our efforts in this area to balance the community’s need for these services with our organization’s resources. These programs may look different in the future as the needs and resources change.
Here are our current offerings:
Snip & Spay 2022: Low-Cost Feline Spay & Neuter Clinics
Snip & Spay clinics offer spay and neuter services and limited vaccination and other treatments for cats owned by community members. We strive to provide these services at a low cost to serve those who need them the most.
Registration is online, with 50 slots available per clinic. Registration opens 2 weeks before the clinic date; the link can be found below.
The Snip & Spay Package Includes:
MICROCHIP (unless previously chipped)
FLEA TREATMENT IF NEEDED
Please note, services are non-negotiable.

Must pre-register, no walk-in
$90.00 spay/neuter package open to any pet owner, no verification required
$50.00 reduced-fee spay/neuter package, owner must provide proof of need*
*EBT card, letter of verification of government services, unemployment benefits, other similar documents. Should be presented at your appointment. Please contact the shelter with any questions regarding eligibility.

Heartland provides limited TNR services to the public at the organization’s discretion and as resources allow.
Feral cats only may be spayed/neutered through Heartland’s TNR services
