After a great deal of thought and consideration, but in the best interest of safety for participants, volunteers, staff and the public, Heartland will not be holding Summer 2020 Camp Catnip sessions. With the guidelines put in place for summer camp programs, we are currently unable to meet those restrictions in our facility.

Giving youth inspiration.

Camp Catnip is a week-long day camp offered during spring break and summer break. During Camp, youth enjoy an active learning environment with age appropriate curriculum, while working hands on with the animals at Heartland Humane Society. Camp Catnip focuses on building leadership skills in youth, as well as educating them in fun ways on important animal related topics – Responsible Pet Care, Animal Safety & Bite Prevention, Careers with Animals, and Open Paw Dog Training.
